Job Title: Senior Manager of Capital Project/Asset Management Accounting

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Capital Project/Asset Management Accounting to join our team at Vail Resorts. This role will be responsible for leading the Capital Project and Asset Management Accounting team and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the month-end close process and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to executive management and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain the capital forecasting model for annual and quarterly financial reporting requirements and cash flow modeling.
  • Identify process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate accounting and capital project planning.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or demonstrated experience in lieu of education); CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in an Accounting or Finance position, with increasing responsibility.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
