Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and implement general accounting practices based on the array of services offered by the Entrepreneurial Services Group.
  • Plan and manage daily activities for small business engagements, adhering to Takeda's Client Service Standards.
  • Review client documentation and prepare it for financial statement and tax return preparation.
  • Maintain client records and files, such as general ledgers, using automated systems.
  • Conduct attest procedures, including reviews and compilations of financial statements.
  • Assist with income tax planning for various small businesses and individuals.
  • Support the preparation of income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
  • Identify and communicate accounting and tax issues to other team members.
  • Prepare payroll tax reports and filings.
  • Generate 1099 and W-2 forms.
  • Establish strong working relationships and direct communication with clients.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement within the department.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA certification preferred or in progress.
  • Prior experience in public accounting is advantageous.
  • Experience in income tax preparation for partnerships, corporations, and individuals is beneficial.
  • Strong technical skills with a commitment to learning in a technology-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic, with a proactive approach.
  • Able to meet challenging client requirements while delivering quality service.
  • Utilize analytical and research skills effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel required).
  • Familiarity with Peachtree and/or QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Adhere strictly to professional ethics.
  • Contribute to the success of a strategic business unit within the firm.
