Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to layout engineers, promoting a collaborative and innovative work atmosphere.
  • Execute detailed transistor-level layouts for RF and analog circuit components, including various critical elements such as LNAs, mixers, and power amplifiers.
  • Oversee the integration of chip designs, ensuring the effective combination of RF and analog blocks while meeting performance metrics.
  • Lead the tapeout process, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project completion.
  • Enhance layout design methodologies and establish best practices for efficient design processes.
  • Conduct thorough design rule checks (DRC), layout versus schematic checks (LVS), and design for manufacturability (DFM) evaluations.
  • Collaborate with foundry partners to stay abreast of the latest technology advancements and design requirements.
  • Review layouts meticulously, providing constructive feedback and ensuring high-quality standards are upheld.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Manage the full verification flow for block-level and top-level layouts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in custom RF/analog layout for RF transceivers, with a solid understanding of advanced CMOS and SOI processes.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor layout engineering teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard layout tools and familiarity with advanced technology node design flows.
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying and resolving layout challenges.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all design outputs.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and changing project needs.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
