Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst for Wholesale is tasked with delivering support and analytical insights for the wholesale sector at TOMS. This role is pivotal in coordinating schedules with key finance and operations stakeholders to ensure timely reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

This position also emphasizes collaboration with sales, customer service, operations, and marketing teams within the wholesale division. Visibility is crucial for our business, and this role plays a significant part in offering comprehensive insights into business trends at TOMS and with our retail and distribution partners.

Primarily utilizing Excel, along with data sourced from SAP and our Business Intelligence tools, the Senior Financial Analyst will assist in crafting the annual budget, conducting periodic reforecasts, analyzing customer and channel profitability, and undertaking various projects as required. This role reports directly to senior leadership within the Financial Planning & Analysis team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile major schedules for Sales, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and Selling, General & Administrative (SG&A) expenses for business communication.
  • Identify, analyze, and relay trends and issues impacting the business to provide financial insights and guidance to management at all levels.
  • Support the Senior Director in liaising with essential business leads, including data collection and dissemination.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to assist with departmental accruals and internal order tracking.
  • Create and enhance visual data representations using Tableau, including charts and infographics, while maintaining existing dashboards.
  • Engage with departmental Business Partners to refine business insights and analyses for publication, prioritizing visibility of allowances.
  • Work alongside the IT Infrastructure team for backend configuration and data organization to deliver insights into customer behavior, trends, financials, and TOMS' operational performance through BI visuals.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in financial forecasting, analysis, consolidation reporting, or accounting, with a solid grasp of accounting principles, including accruals, general ledger, and cost center data analysis (or 4+ years with an MBA).

5+ years of advanced proficiency in Excel, Business Intelligence, and Tableau.

Demonstrated ability to foster partnerships and collaborate effectively, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, particularly for audiences less familiar with finance.

Capacity to operate within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strategic thinking, tactical execution, and the ability to command credibility and influence across the organization are essential.

Familiarity with ERP/Financial systems and Financial Statement Analysis – SAP experience is a plus.

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is preferred.

Experience in the retail or fashion industry, with a solid understanding of wholesale business practices, is advantageous. Footwear experience is a plus.

A competitive salary range of $105,000 – $115,000 based on experience, along with an annual performance-based bonus.
