Job Description

The Benefits Analyst researches employee benefits packages and serves as the primary contact for benefit questions, programs, and life events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine employee benefit interests by conducting surveys, forming focus groups, and analyzing responses.
  • Recommend employee benefit programs by evaluating interest, costs, regulatory requirements, and competitive advantage.
  • Explain employee benefits through meetings, written announcements, and graphic explanations.
  • Provide management planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing employee benefit data and trends.
  • Maintain employee confidence by keeping benefit information confidential.
  • Stay updated on job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
  • Accomplish human resources and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
  • Work with insurance carriers to update feed structures.
  • Ensure timely and accurate file feeds to carriers.
  • Handle Benefit carrier billing and direct billing for team members on leave.
  • Review and prepare 1095-C filings for the company.
  • Assist with annual auditing processes for 401(K) and Annual Benefit Enrollment.
  • Configure Annual Benefit Enrollment by working with the HRIS provider and consultant.

Requirements

  • 2 years' experience in human resources focusing on US benefits.
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA, employee benefit programs, including flexible benefit programs, financial analysis, and budgeting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior organizational skills to prioritize and work on multiple projects.
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Able to shift priorities and perform under pressure.
  • Demonstrated capability in building trusted partnerships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.

Estimated Salary Range:$60,000 - $80,000 per year
