Job Title: Registered Nurse-4S Telemetry-7A

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.

About the Role:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care and related assistance to patients in the 4S Telemetry-7A unit. This role requires a systematic approach to provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care, making nursing diagnoses, developing a plan of care, implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating patient responses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Knows and conforms to the Nurse Practice Act for the State of Texas.
  • Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel, considering patient safety and the educational preparation, experience, knowledge, and physical and emotional ability of the person.
  • Implement measures to promote a safe environment for patients and others, and correctly administer medications and treatments.
  • Maintain required documentation of patient care and unit activities in accordance with standards.
  • Clarify any order or treatment regimen that the nurse has reason to believe is inaccurate, non-efficacious, or contraindicated.
  • Institute appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize a patient's condition and/or prevent complications.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • No experience required.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas.
  • BLS certification.
  • Unit specific competencies obtained within six months of hire.
