Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care and related assistance to patients of any age group admitted to the area employed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care by performing comprehensive nursing assessments, making nursing diagnoses, and developing a plan of care based on the assessment and nursing diagnosis.
  • Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel that take into consideration patient safety and are commensurate with the educational preparation, experience, knowledge, and physical and emotional ability of the person to whom the assignments are made.
  • Implement measures to promote a safe environment for patients and others, and know the rationale for and the effects of medications and treatments.
  • Maintain required documentation of patient care and unit activities in accordance with standards.
  • Clarify any order or treatment regimen that the nurse has reason to believe is inaccurate, non-efficacious or contraindicated by consulting with the appropriate licensed practitioner.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • No experience required
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas
  • BLS certification
  • Unit specific competencies obtained within six months of hire
