Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide professional nursing care to patients in our 3S Telemetry-7A unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care to patients, making nursing diagnoses and developing plans of care based on comprehensive assessments.
  • Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel, ensuring patient safety and considering their educational preparation, experience, and abilities.
  • Implement measures to promote a safe environment for patients and others, and correctly administer medications and treatments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and unit activities, and clarify any orders or treatment regimens that may be inaccurate or contraindicated.
  • Institute appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize patients' conditions and prevent complications.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas
  • BLS certification
  • Unit-specific competencies obtained within six months of hire
