Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas team in a 4S Telemetry-Part Time-7P role. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide professional nursing care and related assistance to patients of any age group admitted to the area employed. Your expertise will be essential in supporting the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the mission and objectives of the Hospital.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:


  • Providing individualized, goal-directed nursing care by performing comprehensive nursing assessments and making nursing diagnoses.
  • Developing and implementing a plan of care based on the assessment and nursing diagnosis.
  • Delegating tasks to unlicensed personnel that take into consideration patient safety and are commensurate with the educational preparation, experience, knowledge, and physical and emotional ability of the person to whom the assignments are made.
  • Maintaining required documentation of patient care and unit activities in accordance with standards.
  • Clarifying any order or treatment regimen that the nurse has reason to believe is inaccurate, non-efficacious or contraindicated by consulting with the appropriate licensed practitioner.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:


  • Be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Hold a current RN license in the State of Texas.
  • Have BLS certification.
  • Obtain unit specific competencies within six months of hire.
