Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

We are looking for a Perinatal Ultrasound Technologist who brings specialized knowledge to ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficient care. Our team is exceptional, and we are eager to welcome a remarkable addition who shares our passion for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts precise and high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, specializing in OB/GYN.
  • Utilizes fetal ultrasound techniques to assess fetal anomalies and applies gynecological ultrasound principles for patient evaluations. Adapts to various ultrasound machines while upholding high standards of sonography.
  • Identifies fetal anomalies, including CNS, maxillofacial, cardiothoracic, abdominal, and genitourinary issues. Performs ultrasounds on maternal uterus, cervix, and ovaries, including complex twin and triplet scans.
  • Provides preliminary diagnoses of gynecological and fetal disorders based on the organ systems mentioned above.
  • Operates ultrasound machines from General Electric, Accuson, Medison, and ATL with proficiency, continuously expanding knowledge of the latest technology.
  • Maintains ultrasound logging records, including medical, surgical, obstetric, and genetic histories.
  • Prepares patients for procedures such as Level I & II ultrasounds, amniocentesis, and GYN ultrasound.
  • Fosters professional relationships with staff, obstetric offices, and hospital personnel.
  • Exhibits independent judgment when interpreting Biophysical Profiles to assess fetal well-being and alerts physicians to potentially dangerous conditions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:

Associates degree in Ultrasound is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.

Certification/License:

RDMS certification is required; RDMS – OB/GYN certification is preferred.
