Role Responsibilities:
As a sonographer, you will perform a variety of perinatal ultrasound examinations utilizing high-frequency sound waves to assess internal organs and vessels for the diagnosis of conditions in utero. You will prepare the examination room, obtain informed consent, and gather accurate clinical histories as necessary for the procedures. You will review patient histories to determine the appropriate protocols and explain the examination process to patients while positioning them accordingly.

You will assess the patient's condition, complete necessary diagnostic techniques, and carry out required interventions. It is essential to review and evaluate completed tests for quality and completeness, ensuring that high-quality images are obtained. You will coordinate the preparation of images and documentation for physician collaboration.
You will meticulously document and communicate patient-related information, ensuring clarity and accuracy. It is crucial to inform patients of physician instructions and observations from ancillary caregivers, integrating this information into your care approach. You will work collaboratively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and documentation to guarantee safety, care, courtesy, and efficiency. You will ensure a safe and effective handoff between shifts by communicating clearly with the incoming team.
You will monitor equipment reliability and safety, reporting any issues or required maintenance. Additionally, you will manage the ordering and stocking of supplies, maintain cleanliness in examination rooms and equipment, and transport patients as needed.
You will actively engage in quality initiatives, focusing on patient satisfaction, care, and workflow improvement.

Qualifications:
American Registry of Radiologic Technology ARRT (S) or ARDMS registry is required.
Health Care Provider Life Support certification is required.
One (1) year of ultrasound experience is preferred.
Fetal Echo Certification is preferred.
