Job Summary

ZARA USA, a leading international fashion retailer, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Benefits Specialist to join our NYC Corporate Office. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for administering and managing our employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing exceptional service to our employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits inquiries, including health and wellness, enrollments, retirement, and voluntary benefits programs.
  • Conduct benchmarking analysis and monitoring of our current benefits programs to ensure plan effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Audit and reconcile monthly benefits premiums against various reports to confirm billing and funding accuracy.
  • Manage vendors and troubleshoot issues associated with retirement and benefits programs.
  • Develop educational materials and deliver comprehensive benefits presentations to improve utilization and general understanding of company benefits.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, and vision plans, wellness programs, life insurance plans, and voluntary and disability programs.
  • Provide regulatory and procedural guidance and support to managers and employees to ensure compliance with leave of absences and disability accommodation.
  • Assist with the annual enrollment process and communication strategy.
  • Conduct benefits training and new hire orientations.
  • Process and monitor workers' compensation claims, multi-state leave of absence, and other benefits-related matters.
  • Maintain employee benefits files and ensure benefits changes are properly implemented and aligned within internal and external systems.
  • Coordinate Federal and Statutory legislations with company-provided benefits.
  • Complete ad hoc reports and projects as directed by the Benefits Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of benefits administration experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of medical and voluntary benefits programs, 401(k) plans, FMLA, ERISA, ADA, ACA, FCRA, PFL, DBL, HIPAA, and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office XP (Word, Excel).
  • Proficient in English language, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to work in both a team situation and independently.
  • Knowledgeable in OSHA and workers' compensation policies.
  • Knowledgeable in multi-state leave benefits.
  • Knowledge of ADP Vantage.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Retail experience is highly desirable.
  • Keen sense of customer service.

Compensation

Annual compensation range: $59,000 - $95,000 + discretionary bonus.

Zara USA, in good faith, believes that this posted rate of compensation is the accurate range for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
