Job Summary:

This position is responsible for conducting analytical assessments, preventive maintenance, and repair tasks for a diverse fleet of construction machinery, trucks, cars, and hand tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive and heavy machinery repair, with experience working on both gasoline and diesel engines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting analytical assessments and repair tasks for a diverse fleet of equipment
  • Performing preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Working on both gasoline and diesel engines
  • Collaborating with other mechanics and technicians to achieve team goals

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of the commonwealth's Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic Trainee program
  • Two years of journey level mechanic experience in the diagnosis and repair of automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training

Special Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License
  • Must possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

Conditions of Employment:

  • All employees must obtain an active certification issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in the operation of heavy trucks and loaders within the probationary period
  • Employees may be required to obtain and maintain CDL endorsements and certifications necessary to operate specific pieces of equipment

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions
