As a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) at United Rentals, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and repairing complex equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fleet, and your passion for delivering exceptional customer service will make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of complex rental equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
  • Assist in the training of lower-level technicians as needed
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, including electronic documentation of work orders
  • Travel to customer job sites for repair and maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment
  • Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • 3-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining equipment and tools
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
  • Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
  • Must own tools applicable to the position
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
