VDC Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled VDC Engineer to join our team at Wohlsen Construction. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in driving the adoption of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) technologies across our organization.

• Manage and maintain our VDC platform, ensuring seamless access and vendor relationships.
• Provide comprehensive training to our team members on the effective use of VDC platforms.
• Create high-quality, integrated renderings to support work acquisition, preconstruction, and construction efforts.
• Conduct ongoing research and development to stay ahead of the curve in VDC technologies.
• Lead BIM presentations with clients, showcasing the value and effectiveness of VDC tools.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and subcontractors to deliver exceptional results.
• Develop and implement VDC policies and playbooks to drive desired outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or Construction CAD development.
• At least 5 years of experience with BIM and VDC technologies.
• Proficiency in authoring 2D/3D and rendering applications.
• Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite and video/photo editing software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Basic understanding of building systems, interrelation, construction techniques, and construction processes.
