Job Overview

We're seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team at IPMG. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for expanding our workers' compensation business across the East Coast.

Your primary focus will be on building relationships with independent insurance agents, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with brokers, underwriters, and account managers to close deals and renew accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow our workers' compensation business in the East Coast territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with independent insurance agents, brokers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cross-selling and upselling existing clients.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 0-5 years' experience in insurance sales or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Resourceful, organized, and self-directed approach.
  • Desire to learn and grow within the insurance industry.
