We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist Generalist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Medical Technologist Generalist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical and moderate to high complexity procedures in our offsite laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine technical, moderate, and high complexity procedures in the Smilow offsite laboratory.
- Interpret data based on knowledge and experience, and evaluate and troubleshoot routine operational and instrument problems.
- Participate in quality control, quality assurance initiatives, and equipment maintenance programs throughout the Smilow offsite lab.
- Report problems that occur in the processing of samples to the coordinator.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent with MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent.
- One to two years' experience in an accredited Clinical Laboratory.
- ASCP certification highly desired.
- Working knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, and materials used in a Core Clinical Laboratory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
