Medical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians and providers with patient care, rooming patients, and performing administrative tasks.
- Responsible for appointment scheduling, chart management, and providing information to patients.
- Convey a positive image of the practice and maintain patient autonomy, confidentiality, and dignity.
- Perform environmental responsibilities, including setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocol.
- May assist and/or perform chaperone duties for patient medical procedures as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with graduation from an accredited medical assistant certificate program preferred.
- Certification/Registration (CCMA/CMA/AAMA/RMA) preferred, or certification/registration may be accepted in lieu of graduation from an accredited MA school.
- Minimum of 1 year private practice medical assistant experience preferred in a primary care or specialist office.
- Excellent organizational, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills required.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Medical Assisting Certification preferred.
- EMR experience preferred and working knowledge of Microsoft office applications required.
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
Must complete work in a timely fashion and meet the physical demands of the job.
