Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Inspect buildings and equipment to identify needed repairs and perform tests to ensure proper operation.
- Perform skilled labor and repair functions, including electrical and mechanical repairs, painting, and plumbing.
- Operate a variety of equipment, machinery, and tools, including utility vehicles, air conditioners, and power tools.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, such as inspecting equipment, checking fluid levels, and replacing fluids.
- Assist with set-up and tear-down for special events and functions.
- Maintain inventory of department equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Assist in designing building additions or renovations and read/interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in a related field, such as mechanics, painting, plumbing, or electrical work.
- Valid Georgia Driver's License and possession of a valid Freon Handler/CFC Recovery certification (may be required).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull moderately heavy objects and materials.
