Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Marriott. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of tools and equipment
  • Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues
  • Identify and locate shut-off valves for equipment and perform repairs as needed
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as required
  • Assure daily activities and problems are communicated to other shifts using approved communication programs

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and vocational or technical background
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
  • Valid driver's license and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical, or refrigeration
  • Parts inventory and requisition experience
  • Exterior and interior surface preparation and painting experience
