Position Overview

The Behavioral Support Technician (BST) operates under the guidance of the Director of Psychological Services, or their designee, the District BCBA, or School Psychologist. The BST delivers direct behavioral assistance to students and staff across various classroom environments, executing behavior intervention/support plans and teaching essential prosocial skills to enhance students' access to the learning environment. The role involves supporting certified teachers and Instructional Assistants in reinforcing educational instruction and performing clerical tasks to facilitate classroom activities. The BST is chiefly responsible for the direct application of behavior-analytic services and the collection of relevant data.

Qualifications

Registered Behavior Technician Certification is required.
Must successfully complete the general knowledge examination (waived for applicants with 48 college credits).
A minimum of an Associate degree or equivalent is necessary, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Current Safety Care certification must be maintained.
Registered Behavior Technician Certification documentation is required, including:
  • Copy of Registered Behavior Technician Certificate
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Three Letters of Recommendation (one must be from current employer, all within the last year)
  • Resume
Additional Information

This position is part-time, requiring 6 hours of work per day, with shifts from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm or 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Candidates should possess experience in educational settings and hold a valid Registered Behavior Technician Certificate.
