Position Summary:

The role of Senior Culinary Operations Executive is pivotal in upholding superior culinary standards within the Defense sector. Responsibilities include recruiting and training executive chefs, crafting menus, implementing cost-saving measures, and maintaining culinary excellence across all assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a long-term culinary innovation strategy that aligns consumer expectations with corporate financial objectives.
  • Act as the primary culinary expert within the Defense Sector.
  • Educate and train team members on current industry trends.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to all culinary staff, fostering a culture of inspiration and excellence.
  • Forge strategic partnerships within the organization to collaboratively implement business strategies.
  • Stay informed about the culinary needs of the Defense sector and respond accordingly.
  • Enhance team capabilities through effective training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain teams to optimize ingredient selection and manage order guides.
  • Support business development initiatives in conjunction with sector-specific partners.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of standardized recipes for diverse applications.
  • Maintain strategic oversight of menu offerings, focusing on food cost management, recipe standardization, inventory control, and waste reduction.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of culinary management experience.
  • Proficient project management skills.
  • Ability to drive revenue through strategic initiatives while understanding the importance of financial tactics.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Proven experience in leading R&D teams and managing menu innovation processes across multiple units is advantageous.
  • Experience in both restaurant/casual dining and contract food service environments, with a track record of successful growth in diverse market segments is preferred.
