About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Customs Clearance Specialist to join our team at Ceva Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth clearance of goods through customs, while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and prepare customs documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
  • Verify and validate shipment information, including weights, measurements, and values.
  • Calculate and collect duties, taxes, and other charges associated with imports and exports.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to customs clearance.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in customs regulations and laws, and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including sales, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of customs clearance processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
