Client Overview:

Our client is a thriving and established entity that consistently collaborates with governmental bodies and global enterprises seeking to hire a Payroll Accountant. This organization is in search of a seasoned expert who can operate effectively within a team as well as independently. A solid background in general accounting and comprehensive payroll processes is essential.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$35 - $40/hr

Position Overview:

Candidates for the Payroll Accountant role must exhibit exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities. We are looking for individuals with 3 to 5 years of experience in month-end closing, accruals, fixed assets, and payroll processing utilizing ADP. The ideal candidate should be diligent and adept at meeting deadlines in a dynamic work environment. Experience with Deltek and ADP is required.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Accountant:
  • Complete payroll processing cycle and manage payroll taxes (multi-state)
  • Handle payroll deductions, adjustments, and weekly reporting
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
  • Execute input, maintenance, and review of financials and expenditures
  • Payroll Accounting duties
Qualifications for the Payroll Accountant:
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Extensive experience with Deltek and ADP
  • Knowledge of Multistate Payroll and Payroll Tax
  • General Accounting expertise, including journal entries, month-end, and financial reporting
Education Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline is advantageous, but not mandatory
