Job Summary

The Office of the Controller is responsible for the financial operations of Chicago Public Schools, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Internal Accounts, and Corporate Accounting. As a part-time Payroll Processor, you will assist the Payroll Services team with payroll processing for all Covid Contact Tracers under the direction of the Director of Payroll Services. This role will provide additional support to teams as needed and fill administrative needs within the department.

Responsibilities
  • Process payroll for Covid Contact Tracers
  • Assist the Payroll Services team with various tasks and projects
  • Provide administrative support to the department as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of professional work experience
  • Previous experience in payroll or finance preferred but not required
Benefits

As a condition of employment with CPS, employees are required to establish and maintain Chicago residency within six months of their hire date and throughout their employment. Additionally, employees must be up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations, including boosters, and submit proof of vaccination to the district within 30 days of hire. The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a part-time, temporary position with the possibility of extension.
