Job Summary

The Georgetown University School of Medicine is seeking an Educational Coordinator to support the daily planning and implementation of the curriculum across the 4-year M.D. degree program. This role will be responsible for assigned modules, courses, and other elements critical to the successful execution and advancement of the M.D. curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the planning and implementation of curriculum modules and courses, ensuring alignment with School of Medicine and national accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and maintain curriculum materials, including syllabi, handouts, and other educational resources.
  • Provide logistical support for lectures, assignments, and evaluations, including room reservations, AV requests, and attendance tracking.
  • Communicate with students regarding course changes, reviews, and exams, and provide notification of any updates.
  • Build and maintain an LMS site presence for responsible modules and courses, including creating and uploading electronic tests and exams.
  • Serve as a team leader for exam day proctoring, scoring, and submitting reports to module directors for approval.
  • Assist in the implementation of faculty members' instructional continuity plans during campus closures and delayed arrivals.
  • Provide front-line support to students, faculty, and visitors, including managing incoming phone calls, mail, and fax communications.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education, curriculum development, or project management.
  • 2+ years of experience working with educators, learners, and education support staff, preferably in a medical education setting.
  • Familiarity with professional settings and ability to learn new software, equipment, and curricular facilitation tools.
  • Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with customer service, coordination, and medical education highly desirable.
Work Mode Designation

This position has been designated as Hybrid. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed to meet the evolving needs of the University.

Pay Range

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position is $44,073.40 - $73,406.80.

Compensation is determined by a number of factors, including the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
