Position Summary: This role involves instructional and planning duties for delivering IB Math education to students at DCI throughout the academic year. Instruction will be conducted in English.

Compensation: $63,113 - $105,575 (Starting salary is based on educational qualifications and relevant experience)

Required Qualifications:
  • A Master's Degree in secondary education or a related field is preferred (Bachelor's Degree is mandatory).
  • Prior experience in teaching this subject area is highly desirable.
  • We operate as a 1:1 technology school.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various technology platforms for instructional guidance and communication with students and families, including familiarity with G Suite tools, is preferred.

  • Deliver outstanding Math instruction tailored to diverse learning needs.
  • Design curriculum with a comprehensive understanding of the IB Math curriculum framework.
  • Provide student advisement, including teaching an advisory class based on our advisory curriculum, and support other facets of the school's instructional program.
  • Exhibit the capacity to manage the demands of a high-performing charter school while maintaining organization, responsibility, and accountability.
  • Effectively manage the classroom environment in alignment with the school's discipline strategies to enhance student engagement and learning.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to accept and implement feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Show interest and enthusiasm for engaging in the IB MYP and language immersion initiatives.
  • Commit to professional development to deliver high-quality instruction.
  • Collaborate with general and special education staff, coordinators, and school leadership.
  • Maintain a high level of communication through various channels with parents and students.
  • Promote and participate in cultural activities that celebrate French, Spanish, and Chinese cultures for both faculty and students.
  • Ensure effective implementation of our 1:1 Chromebook program by integrating technology into instruction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
