Job Title: Manager of Cash Management and Collection

Job Summary:

The Manager of Cash Management and Collection is responsible for overseeing the cash management and collection processes for sponsored funds at Georgetown University. This includes ensuring compliance with federal laws and regulations, managing cash reporting to federal sponsors, and maintaining accurate records within the University's Financial System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cash management and collection processes for sponsored funds
  • Ensure compliance with federal laws and regulations
  • Manage cash reporting to federal sponsors
  • Maintain accurate records within the University's Financial System
  • Monitor sponsored projects accounts receivable listing and ensure complete collection of outstanding funds
  • Act as a resource for financial analysts and campus finance staff

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree - preference for an MBA
  • 5 to 7 years of specific work experience with grants and contracts
  • Familiarity with Letter of Credit draws and reporting
  • Ability to manage staff
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in computerized financial software
  • Demonstrated understanding of research administration processes
  • Knowledge of OMB Uniform Guidance, and with federal agency and external sponsor accounting and reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of complex accounting system
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong accounting and Microsoft Office skills, and attention to detail

Work Mode: Hybrid

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $54,616.00 - $100,493.33. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
