Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned properties, ensuring maximum financial returns and exceptional resident experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement strategies to enhance property value and maximize financial returns.
  • Process rent increase notices, track, and implement scheduled increases.
  • Manage accounts receivable, reconcile property accounts, and ensure timely processing of unpaid and late rent notices.
  • Collect rents, maintain petty cash, and ensure proper accounting of monies collected.
  • Manage property staff, promote harmonious relations among residents, employees, owners, and the local community.
  • Complete and submit timely weekly reports, maintain neat and legible records, and perform daily property inspections.
  • Assist in preparing for property inspections, maintain organized file systems, and work with maintenance technicians to manage vendor selection and relations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, transfer over/under-housed residents, and maintain waiting lists.
  • Show apartments, accept applications, screen applicants, and ensure utilities are transferred.
  • Develop and implement resident retention strategies, respond to resident complaints, and understand rental agreements and residency policies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 to 3 years of experience in tax credit, HUD, and/or affordable housing.
  • A valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write, and speak effectively.
  • Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, remain organized, and multitask.
