Position: Senior Risk Manager - Governance of Rewards & Benefits (Card)

Overview:
Are you passionate about risk management and ready to take on a pivotal role in a leading financial institution? As a Senior Risk Manager at Capital One, you will collaborate with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with Card's Premium Products, specifically within the Rewards & Benefits sector. Our Risk Managers serve as the first line of defense, ensuring the stability and profitability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a key liaison, collaborating with business partners, technology teams, and other assurance functions, including legal and compliance, to achieve significant risk reductions.
  • Analyze data and reporting; provide valuable business insights through thorough evaluation of data supplied by team analysts.
  • Design and implement internal governance processes, influencing best practices across the organization.
  • Evaluate controls and derive insights from issues and events across various business sectors.
  • Oversee, implement, and deliver on critical program objectives.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Risk Management (Financial Services, Technology, Digital, Audit, Compliance).
  • At least 3 years of experience in supporting and engaging with internal business clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree (Masters/MBA).
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience leading cross-functional projects in Risk.
  • 5+ years of experience in Risk Management (Financial Services, Rewards or Loyalty, Technology, Digital, Audit, Compliance).
  • Professional certifications in risk management and/or assurance (e.g., Certified Risk Management Professional, Certified Internal Auditor).
Work Environment:
This position is hybrid, requiring associates to spend approximately half their time in-person at designated offices. Specific days are set for virtual work and in-person collaboration, promoting teamwork in a well-designed environment.
