Job Overview:

The Data Governance Project Manager will oversee the development and implementation of the enterprise data governance framework, ensuring secure data exchange and integration across projects. This role will guide data governance policies for integration into the Enterprise Data Warehouse, requiring strong experience in data governance, Health IT, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the data governance framework, policies, and processes.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to implement the data governance framework and organizational structure.
  • Ensure data governance decisions and guidance for data sources to be ingested into the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders, including senior leadership, to facilitate meetings, take meeting minutes, and follow up on actions.

Required Skills:

  • 10 years of expertise in communication and negotiation at all levels of the organization.
  • 10 years of experience with scheduling and time management.
  • 10 years of experience in risk management - identify and mitigate risks.
  • 10 years of excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • 10 years of experience with team building, motivating, and inspiring a team.
  • 10 years of experience in vendor management - vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ensuring successful delivery of vendor solutions.
  • 8 years of experience with both waterfall and agile project management techniques.
  • PMP-certification is required.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data governance solutions, data integration, data modeling, and metadata management.

Preferred Skills:

  • 4 years of experience with managing a project for implementing data governance policies, processes, and tools.
  • 4 years of experience with reporting and analytics - understand and interpret data analytics and reporting requirements.
  • 4 years of experience with business rules engines and ETL tools.
  • 4 years of experience with data exchange solutions.
  • 4 years of experience in Health IT.
  • 4 years of experience with data warehouse implementations.
  • 4 years of experience with procuring technology solutions - managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
