Key Responsibilities
In the position of Senior Bridge Engineer, you will be expected to:
  • Take on a leading technical role in bridge design projects.
  • Conduct intricate structural planning, analysis, and design for all structural components of transportation initiatives.
  • Engage in projects that typically involve bridge (steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, segmental, and cable) designs, box culverts, and interchange designs for highway and railway systems.
  • Act as a technical expert or Project Manager on mid-sized projects, overseeing junior engineers in their engineering tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in bridge design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in all facets of bridge design projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GEOPAK, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
  • Experience with structural analysis programs and bridge design software.
  • Exemplary leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Project management experience is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively.
  • Comfort in being recognized as a technical authority in engineering analysis and design, with a proven record of technical leadership in such projects.
  • A commitment to actively participating in our employee-owned culture is essential.
Preferred:
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Structural Engineer (SE) license.
  • Familiarity with engineering software packages such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, MDX, SAP2000, CSiBridge, ADINA, RM Bridge, spColumn, LUSAS, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge.
  • Preference will be given to local candidates.
