Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Bridge Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading technical efforts on bridge design projects
  • Conducting intricate structural planning, analysis, and design for all facets of transportation projects
  • Engaging in projects that often involve bridge (steel plate girder, prestressed concrete, segmental, and cable) box culvert, and interchange design for highway and railway initiatives
  • Acting as a technical specialist or Project Manager on mid-sized projects, while mentoring junior engineers in their engineering tasks
  • Executing additional duties as required
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in bridge design
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in all elements of bridge design projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GEOPAK, AutoCAD, and MicroStation
  • Experience with structural analysis programs and bridge design software
  • Exhibited leadership abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to collaborate with diverse teams
  • Project management experience is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively
  • Comfortable being recognized as a technical authority in engineering analysis and design, with a proven track record of technical leadership on similar projects
  • A commitment to actively participating in our employee-owned culture is essential

Desirable Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering
  • Structural Engineer (SE) license
  • Familiarity with engineering software such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, MDX, SAP2000, CSiBridge, ADINA, RM Bridge, spColumn, LUSAS, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge
  • Preference will be given to local candidates
