Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at BlueScope. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide strategic support to our business leaders and employees, ensuring the effective management of HR processes and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Employee Support: Provide HR support to employees, including recruitment, talent management, employee engagement, and HR administration.
  • HR Process Expertise: Develop and implement HR processes and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Employee Relations: Manage employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Recruitment and Talent Management: Partner with business leaders to develop recruitment strategies and manage the hiring process, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Employee Engagement and Development: Develop and implement employee engagement and development programs to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
  • HR Systems and Reporting: Manage HR systems, including HRIS, time and attendance, and leave of absence programs, and provide HR reports and analytics to support business decision-making.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in human resources, with a focus on business partnership, employee support, and HR process expertise.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with business leaders and employees at all levels.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including those related to recruitment, talent management, and employee relations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • HR Designation: PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR designation.
  • Workday Experience: Hands-on working knowledge of Workday.
  • Local Labor Laws: Knowledge of employment laws across AK/WA/OR/CA.
