Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Policy Governance Vice President to join our team at Goldman Sachs. As a key member of our Compliance department, you will play a critical role in driving our Corporate Policy Governance Framework forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design and implementation of Target State Compliance policy documents
  • Align and continuously evolve the governance and oversight of the Compliance Policy Oversight Group, including reporting and development of key controls
  • Engage key stakeholders to make strategic decisions and prioritize implementation plans
  • Oversee regulatory mapping of obligations to policy documents for documents owned by Compliance
  • Draft required policy document communications and present to senior audiences as required
  • Facilitate Policy rationalization to achieve a target state of governing documents for Compliance
  • Manage change in partnership with impacted stakeholders and deliver information and reporting to Compliance management
  • Author and review governing documents that achieve minimum standards with quality and consistency
  • Partner with and direct vendors to deliver against GS expectations
  • Manage requests and exams from outside regulators and internal audit
  • Represent Compliance in first line and second line led remediation efforts
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Services, with risk, legal, compliance and/or project management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Professional experience in handling policy governance objectives
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills, with an ability to learn new tools quickly
  • Strong understanding of Compliance program mandates and Operational Risk Frameworks
  • Strong writing skills with critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability of execution against deadlines
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills in frequent interaction with other areas of Compliance
  • Demonstrate resiliency and creativity when under pressure and when managing time-sensitive demands from competing stakeholders
  • Experience in delivering high quality work products, reflecting attention to detail
  • Work independently and exercise strong judgment when executing an assigned task
  • Multi-task and have the ability to manage and advance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Identify and effectively escalate potential issues to appropriate person(s)
