Job Title: Legal Secretary - Insurance Defense

Job Summary:

Wilson Elser is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Secretary to join our team in a fast-paced environment. As a Legal Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our attorneys and play a critical role in the success of our litigation practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including drafting and sending routine correspondence, preparing legal filings, and e-filing court documents.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including document management and organization.
  • Prepare cover letters for attorney bills and schedule conferences and depositions.
  • Manage bills for third-party vendors and process check requests.
  • Assist with opening new matters and processing matters for closing.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in defense litigation, with a focus on insurance defense.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage daily with firm attorneys.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2013, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
