Job Summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Substation Controls Design group. As an Engineer I, you will be responsible for designing controls systems for substations containing voltages of 12kV and above.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop control systems for substations, including wiring for switchyard equipment, control house, and control panel devices.
  • Conduct field support and develop project construction drawings, including detailed schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Work closely with other PSE engineering teams to coordinate design and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Support emergency response operations and conduct analyses to prepare engineering plans, designs, and specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, mechanical, civil, or other appropriate engineering discipline.
  • Entry-level to 3 years of experience in engineering design, preparation of specifications, technical field work, or system studies.
  • Possession of or ability to acquire an EIT certificate.
