Job Summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer II to join our Substation Design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex electrical engineering plans, specifications, and standards for new and existing substations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement electrical engineering plans, designs, and specifications for substation projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure safe and efficient substation operations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and presentations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and best practices in electrical engineering.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in substation design.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and standards.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with substation design software and tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Experience with project management and coordination.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
