Position Summary

The Live Event Production Engineering team at Visa is on the lookout for a skilled Event Production Specialist who is dedicated to enhancing Visa's live events and studio productions. This role is integral to our team, which is focused on delivering engaging live events and high-quality broadcasts. We pride ourselves on our innovative strategies and our commitment to pushing the technical limits of broadcast and video production.

We seek a proactive and creative leader capable of managing and executing diverse event and broadcast requests. A strong technical foundation in professional audio/visual technology, video conferencing, live event production, studio operations, post-production, and streaming/broadcasting is essential. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in industry best practices and emerging trends.

This role requires extensive collaboration and the ability to build strong partnerships with various stakeholders, including Executive Administrators, Marketing, Communications, IT, Facilities, and production vendors. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of new technologies and innovative solutions across Visa's event spaces. A positive attitude, exceptional organizational skills, determination in problem-solving, teamwork, and effective communication with executives and stakeholders are crucial attributes for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advocate for live event engineering services across business units and foster trustworthy relationships.
  • Lead the support for events and broadcasts, making informed decisions to resolve challenges.
  • Oversee daily event production tasks, manage scheduling changes, and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Establish accountability and set both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Generate performance reports and KPIs to assess team efficiency.
  • Utilize expertise to tackle technical challenges and ensure timely task completion.
  • Design and implement innovative audio/visual solutions for training rooms, auditoriums, and multifunctional spaces.
  • Manage audio/visual requirements and collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, IT teams, and vendors to maintain and upgrade live event facilities.
  • Ensure compliance of all audio/visual solutions with Visa's network and security policies through analysis, design, implementation, and support strategies.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by consulting with internal clients to discuss, plan, and support their event needs.
  • Handle request tickets and ensure prompt responses to all inquiries.
  • Monitor audio/visual equipment, conduct dry-run tests, and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Lead proof-of-concept tests and validation for new and emerging audio/visual technologies.
  • Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation and resources.
  • Establish and integrate audio/visual standards for all hardware and software related to live event productions.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members.

This position operates in a hybrid model, allowing employees to alternate between remote and office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office a set number of days each week, based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of experience in a similar role.
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting events within a corporate environment.
  • Customer service-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Experience in resource management and handling escalations.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • Proven track record in designing and executing live event productions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in configuring, deploying, and supporting professional video switchers, digital audio boards, media asset management systems, editing workstations, lighting controls, routing distribution, and streaming encoders.
  • Comprehensive event production experience from concept through post-production.
  • Proficient in post-production workflows using industry-standard software.
  • Experience managing the audio/visual technology lifecycle in a global enterprise setting.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, and various streaming protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with enterprise video platforms.
  • Relevant certifications in audio/visual technology.
  • Experience with high-resolution displays and advanced audio/visual equipment.
