Allana Buick & Bers, Inc. is a comprehensive building enclosure consulting firm in search of a dedicated and proficient Building Structural Specialist to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our group of architects, engineers, and other professionals to deliver cutting-edge building enclosure solutions for our clientele.

Applicants may qualify for this role through either an Engineering Track or a Field Experience Track. Initial duties will be tailored based on individual experience and skills during the training phase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize engineering principles to tackle complex challenges
  • Conduct structural analysis employing fundamental principles and software applications
  • Execute structural design and analysis computations in accordance with applicable codes and standards, engineering formulas, and professional expertise.
  • Develop structural calculations/designs for projects involving diverse materials
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control while adhering to established quality standards
  • Facilitate coordination and communication with architects, engineers, sub-consultants, and contractors.
  • May be responsible for workload forecasting and monitoring project backlog

Required Skills and Experience

  • Licensed as a professional engineer
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with building science principles and relevant building codes and standards
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
