Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Structural Welding Specialist, you will be expected to:
- Demonstrate proficiency in welding techniques including FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW.
- Operate both manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in various environmental conditions, ensuring adherence to quality standards and AWS specifications.
- Maintain welding apparatus in optimal and safe working condition.
You should possess knowledge in:
- Aluminum welding methods using GMAW and GTAW.
- Carbon steel welding techniques utilizing GMAW and GTAW.
- Stainless steel welding processes with GMAW and GTAW.
Responsibilities include:
- Inspecting your own work for any discrepancies and rectifying any issues found.
- Labeling all components accurately with part numbers, heat numbers, and job identifiers prior to inspection requests.
- Consistently upholding quality and safety standards throughout the welding process.
- Documenting all work performed, including times, dates, quantities, and relevant job details.
Other responsibilities entail:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and layout references to assemble and fit structural components.
- Engaging in various projects, including platforms, skids, pipework, and handrails.
- Utilizing cutting torches, grinders, and drills as necessary.
- Completing welding certification tests as required.
