We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Atria Senior Living Group, Inc. As a key member of our Dining Services team, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, appetizing, and attractive meals for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Review menus and food-production instructions and prepare meals following established standards and recipes.
- Oversee preparation and set-up of service to ensure timely and efficient delivery of meals.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Accurately complete logs and records, including refrigerator, freezer, and production sheets.
- In the absence of the Executive Chef, oversee the food service staff and overall kitchen operations.
- Focus on resident satisfaction and resolve any food-related issues as needed.
- Perform administrative duties, including menu planning, ordering, receiving, invoice processing, inventory, and end-of-month reporting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the culinary industry or full-service restaurant cooking.
- Effective communication and excellent customer service skills.
- Experience mentoring and directing others.
- Ability to prepare and follow recipes.
- General knowledge of and ability to conform to sanitation and safe food handling practices.
- Basic computer skills.
We offer a competitive salary range of $16.50/hr - $18.98/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience. Our benefits package includes paid holidays and PTO, community employees may receive annual anniversary rewards, and employees may be eligible to receive an Annual Scores Reward of $500 (Full Time) or $250 (Part Time) based on community survey results.
