Job Summary

The Culinary Institute of America is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stockroom Stockkeeper to join our team. As a key member of our food service operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate filling of daily culinary and bakery requisitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate ordering and receiving of supplies.
  • Assist students and instructors with product-related questions and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Verify quality standards and handle any quality or fill problems that may arise.
  • Participate in the training of new hires and provide guidance on inventory management and supply chain procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of our food service operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience in a food service or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and purchasing procedures a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work overtime, including nights and weekends, as required by business needs.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with variable temperatures.
