Position Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Psychotherapist to become a key member of our collaborative team at the Integrated Health Clinic. In this role, you will be essential in providing brief therapeutic interventions, supportive counseling, and behavioral modification strategies to individuals addressing health and mental health challenges within a primary care environment. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate brief therapy sessions aimed at addressing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma within a primary care context.
  • Deliver supportive counseling to individuals facing emotional distress, interpersonal challenges, or significant life changes.
  • Implement evidence-based practices and behavioral modification techniques to enhance health literacy and encourage treatment adherence among clients.
  • Work in partnership with primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers to create integrated treatment plans tailored to each client's specific needs.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment team meetings to review client progress, coordinate care, and maintain continuity of services.
  • Conduct focused assessments and screenings to identify mental health concerns, substance use disorders, and social determinants of health affecting overall well-being.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families on mental health topics, coping mechanisms, and self-care strategies to foster resilience and promote wellness.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards.
  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all aspects of service delivery.
  • Follow Clinical Hours of Experience supervision protocols and practice within the allowed scope under the guidance of a Licensed Behavioral Health Provider.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution; AND
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Psychotherapist in California (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) OR Registration in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate, with successful completion of credentialing with IHC payors.
  • Experience in providing therapy and counseling services to individuals from diverse backgrounds and with various presenting concerns.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices in psychotherapy, behavioral health, and integrated care models.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and documentation processes is preferred.
  • Bilingual/Bicultural candidates are preferred.
