Position Title: Lead Aircraft Component Specialist in Gulfstream Aerospace

Key Skills:
Expertise in advanced aircraft component repair and maintenance, proficiency in blueprint interpretation, and a strong background in avionics and mechanical systems.

Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. An A&P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification is highly desirable. Candidates must be adept at reading and interpreting engineering documents, component maintenance data, and blueprints. A solid understanding of basic shop mathematics is essential.

Minimum of 6 years of experience in one of the following areas or related fields:
- Sheet metal and hydraulic overhaul
- Avionics and electronic component repair
- APU removal, installation, and servicing

Position Objective:
To operate with a significant degree of autonomy, providing leadership and technical expertise while executing the repair and overhaul of both internal and external aircraft assemblies, subassemblies, and components in compliance with Gulfstream Aerospace Repair Station standards.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate mastery of advanced skills, procedures, and techniques relevant to aircraft component repair.
  • Exhibit superior technical competence by performing, instructing, and overseeing the repair of mechanical and electronic assemblies, ensuring adherence to maintenance manuals and engineering directives.
  • Conduct functional and operational tests of mechanical and electronic aircraft components, utilizing appropriate testing equipment.
  • Inspect all detail parts to verify conformity with blueprints and maintenance data.
  • Utilize advanced repair techniques, including troubleshooting and soldering, while applying protective coatings as necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards set forth by the FAA and company policies.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate and install repairs to flight controls and secondary structure components using advanced construction techniques.
  • Provide technical support to customer service teams and assist in training junior technicians.
  • Perform complex troubleshooting and repairs on electronic assemblies, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Assist in conducting mass weight and balance assessments on repaired flight controls.
  • Complete other assigned duties as necessary.
