Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or other accounting standards as required.
  • Support the Controller with month-end activities, including financial statement preparation and review.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
  • Assist with accounting functions of international subsidiaries, including IFRS compliance and consolidations.
  • Oversee and assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and regulatory filings.
  • Work with external auditors to assist with annual audits and quarterly reviews.
  • Prepare and review financial reports for executive leadership, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Manage the accounting close process, including review and approval of work submitted by accountants.
  • Perform financial analysis and prepare accounting metrics for presentation to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Excellent initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of honesty and integrity.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks online, and knowledge of other ERPs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • CPA designation.
  • Experience working in a CPA firm in an audit or review function.
  • Ability to research, understand, and implement advanced accounting standards.
  • Experience with ERP or advanced accounting software implementation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in the accounting department of a publicly traded company.
  • Experience with entity consolidations, foreign currency reporting, and accounting for grants and other governmental support.
