Job Title: Retail Store Team Lead - Food Solutions Expert

SpartanNash, a leading food solutions company, is seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Team Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of a retail store. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of associates to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering and maintaining stock levels, and ensuring product freshness and quality.
  • Review and validate received orders, and ensure accurate storage and rotation of products.
  • Implement and maintain work schedules, labor control, and payroll expense for the department.
  • Develop and monitor department goals, forecasts, and key performance indicators.
  • Attend and participate in daily huddles, manager meetings, and district and company level meetings.
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department, adhering to company standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure all food safety guidelines and requirements are followed and maintained throughout the store.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED).
  • Two years of retail experience preferred.
  • One-year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
  • Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
  • Good strategic planning and business acumen skills.
  • Good knowledge of retail store operations; knowledge of retail management systems.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent lifting and moving of up to 30 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. The associate must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and may bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
