Assistant Project Manager

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Project Manager to become a part of our Asheville, NC team. This position is crucial in aiding the effective execution of construction projects. You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and other team members to ensure timely completion, adherence to budget constraints, and maintenance of superior quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager throughout all phases of the construction process, from initial planning to final completion.
  • Assist in the development and upkeep of project timelines, financial plans, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential challenges or delays.
  • Oversee project documentation and maintain precise records.
  • Facilitate communication and teamwork among project staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Conduct site evaluations and inspections to track progress and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Prepare and deliver project updates to stakeholders.
  • Assist in sourcing materials and equipment as needed.
  • Identify project risks and formulate strategies for mitigation.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives within the project team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the construction sector, ideally in an Assistant Project Manager capacity.
  • Solid understanding of construction methodologies, principles, and best practices.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in construction scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 base salary.
