We are currently looking for a Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our Civil Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will be highly driven and dedicated to achieving design excellence. This individual should possess the capability to manage project timelines, cultivate and maintain client relationships, and motivate a high level of performance from the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and coordinate projects with minimal supervision.
  • Review and participate in the preparation of proposals.
  • Calculate and assess costs and timelines for proposed projects.
  • Effectively manage and delegate tasks and schedules to team members.
  • Ensure all technical work is accurate and meets quality standards.
  • Exceed client expectations and build relationships through collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Provide weekly project status updates to clients.
  • Recommend changes to clients as necessary, with approval from the Department/Project Manager.
  • Maintain logs of client interactions.
  • Ensure adherence to Individual and Department QA/QC procedures.
  • Oversee project permitting and entitlement processes, including rezoning, special use permits, site plan approvals, and necessary construction permits.
  • Supervise Civil Designers assigned to projects, ensuring efficient and effective task execution.
  • Assist in the review and processing of invoices for assigned projects and sub-consultants.
  • Engage in business development by nurturing existing client relationships and establishing new contacts through local meetings and events.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) and Professional Licensure.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in various site design projects, including retail, commercial, and public sector projects, with a focus on residential layouts, planning, and engineering.
  • Specific design experience in site layout, grading, storm drainage, stormwater management, water and sewer utilities, and erosion control.
  • Familiarity with local permitting regulations and entitlement processes.
  • Proficiency in technical software such as Autodesk Civil 3D (2015 or newer), Hydraflow Storm Sewers/Hydrographs/Express Extensions, WaterCAD, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective collaboration and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to adapt and learn new responsibilities and tasks.
