Role Summary:

The Front Desk Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting Front Office Management by delivering attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests throughout their stay. This position is essential in optimizing room revenue and occupancy rates.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry or a related field is essential.
  • College coursework in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license for the applicable state is necessary.

Physical and General Requirements:

  • Flexibility in working hours is sometimes required.
  • Light physical work, including the ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
  • Maintain a warm and welcoming demeanor consistently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and team members.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Attendance at all required meetings and training sessions is mandatory.
  • Adherence to grooming standards and uniform requirements is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather all necessary information when processing room reservations and follow established procedures.
  • Monitor and manage VIP and special guest requests effectively.
  • Review daily Front Office logs and Trace Files to ensure smooth operations.
  • Comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
  • Ensure timely and professional logging and delivery of messages, packages, and mail.
  • Stay informed about current rates, packages, and promotions.
  • Maintain open communication and teamwork with colleagues across departments.
  • Assist in training and cross-training of new hires and existing staff regularly.

This position is vital in maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency within the Front Office, contributing to the overall guest experience at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
